    Where’s the Railroad Crossing ?

    August 14, 2019

Hello ladies and gentlemen. I’m over here today about a block north of Highway 878 This is South West 80th street. This is a facing East this here is facing North and This here is facing west. I’m sorry the sun is setting right now So the back light is probably horrible at that Angle, but yeah, this is what I want to show you guys here is where there used to be a former FEC Railway track Here we can see the concrete cross ties There’s a wooden cross tie right there And you can see the ballast right there funny thing though that highway 878 was built sometime around 1985 1984 and Just about three blocks down was where this track merged with a mainline on us 1 so prior to the metro rail being built and prior to that Highway being built being built there was actually a wye here so the track went this was that this branch line went straight and then right where the Highway is the wye used to go that way, I’m going to include a picture of what what it looked like, so Yeah, that’s it right there And as I said this is facing south Let me give you there’s still evidence of a former Relay case over here. See there’s no cars coming so I can cross. see some ballast over here to Concrete cross ties, and here it is Yeah, a train hasn’t been around here since 1984 so that’s ample time for this tree. Which is about I’m six feet And this is how much the tree overshadows me. So yeah, okay, so it’s a pretty big tree This is track view North. My FEC engineer friend, ECH, tells me that back in the day when he ran this It was dark territory this section of track was not controlled by signals The County is going to build a trail here. The Ludlam trail as you can see and as as this sign says This used to be property of the FEC, Florida East Coast Railway And it is now going to be Converted into a trail The Ludlam trail. So yeah. That’s your northbound view there And once again, I’m going to leave you with the southbound view. I thank you very much for viewing guys please subscribe or like over and out

Train & Malfunctioning Railroad Crossing Gates

    August 14, 2019

Ok guys, this line of cars you see here is due to a huge gate malfunction on the SFRTA where the Tri Rail runs through train horn. You can see the gates are down These cars have been waiting here for a LONG time! So you have an idea, look how backed up it is. train horn. Oh the conductor had to get down, look at that. There’s the conductor with the flag. There’s the Tri Rail passing. Ok so supposedly, you see the train passed the crossing gates should be coming up right? They are still down. On both sides, look at that guys. It’s freeking huge. You can see the Historic CSX Bridge & Bridge tender’s house. And over here we can see the line of traffic the malfunction has caused. Right now I’m walking West on NW 20th ST. That right there by the way is Miami Jai Alai Casino. And these gates are not coming up anytime soon. I called to report it but I don’t know how long they’re going to take to get here. Because this is amazing. There’s nothing that can be done. I mean how do these cars, what get down and lift the crossing gate? But that’s that’s impossible. Because they would have to hold it open for everyone else? Look at this old man. Wow! Wow! Wow! Oh look at that guy lifting it up. I called it. That’s amazing. What ended up happening was that I went to go get a quick drink of water and stopped filming for a few. And as I came back, I saw the signal maintenance crew working on the gates and they fixed it. Everything went back to normal.

    Exploring Abandoned Railroad & Crossing

    August 13, 2019

Hello ladies and gentlemen so an
update on an abandoned railroad crossing over here at Southwest 8th St. and SW 69th Ave so over here a few months ago I filmed this crossing where you can
see the cantilevers are missing the light and gates, crossbucks. I came to see
what else had been removed and at first glance it appears that they
haven’t touched anything else this is walking westward and SW 8th ST Where that Walmart is, that was the sight of Everglades Lumber, until 2008 when it closed. So on that side, opposite side
which would be the North side of the crossing you had the relay case and then here it
this would be track view South. And here you have the cantilever and where the
crossing gate once was. Notice the cut wires there and the four screws that held it
up this was all a Harmon Cantilever yeah you can see the brackets for the lights there. Nothing else. Track view South This line actually ends four blocks
South of here home at Southwest 12th ST have a video where I filmed the end of the line. It’s fenced off. yeah you can see this beyond that you
can see the remnants of the rail bed but nothing else give you a quick
glance here that there is Voodooo.
There’s a dead chicken in there. Whoever dropped that off thought that this track
will still active and that the train was going to take away the bad spirits but
there’s no train or bad spirits so jokes on them right ha ha ha. Track view South. Give you a walk here… see concrete cross ties one and two
among all the wooden cross ties. that house has probably been there as
long as the railroad it’s about the late 1920s or maybe earlier than that. Wow!
look at that building it’s totally covered in vines oh crap that’s amazing. Oh! Again I got all these guys sticking
along with me. This here is a mango tree. Been picked clean. okay Mobile home park there. damn I hate when these go inside your shoe, pinch you all over the place makes it uncomfortable to walk Can you see a date on there? hey guys this is all the end of the line
is about a hundred feet that way getting kind of cloudy and windy so I don’t want
those oh well you just walk a few hundred feet here and show you the There’s a spur here. Man! Look at this. This is freaking torture. Cheese 2 so this is the FEC track that
connected to the main along US one in Southwest 88th ST and then led into the
Oversea Railway but look at this. It’s a Wheel stop by Hayes, old school. so yeah the end of the track is just like I said about a hundred or so feet over there
where I have a video on so I’m going to head back before the rain guys- feel it
in the wind now walking northbound and this way it
went about maybe five or so miles then it went were the Miami International
Airport is went around the airport into the Hialeah yard which still exists.
Currently the Hialeah yard is the southernmost point for the FEC Railway now. Oh God! Another one. Those things are ruthless. I don’t know why I find this to be such a beautiful sight you think so? If you agree with me, comment below. I
don’t know it’s just maybe the history and it’s the potential
that that there is here or that there was here Or that nature is reclaiming what once belonged to man. take that in for a second look at how
old that is all in all, this track isn’t in bad shape for something years old right? and here we go SW 8th ST. Our original filming spot. So now, we were facing West. Now we’re going to be facing East. Alright guys, I thank for your accompanying me on that tour. Please Subscribe or Like! Take care, over and out.

Train Stops 5 Minutes at Railroad Crossing

    August 13, 2019

Ok guys so I’m here facing Northbound on W 8th Ave in Hialeah, FL this is an FEC crossing right and this train’s been stopped here for a while I wanted to see how long it was going to be stopped for It’s already been stopped for a minute, prior to when I began filming I think one of the reasons might be that about a mile maybe about a mile and a half that way which is West is the Hialeah Yard so maybe since he entered the Hialeah Yard there was something like he got a red or they needed to switch or something like that and that might be one of the possible reasons Then this would be facing West, SORRY East on West 21st ST I think I see some tanker cars off in the distance there focus in on it This guy is getting weary. There was a few people that began to make U turns before I began filming You got this guy trying to be funny, cutting ahead of everybody Has this ever happened to you? Comment below I’d love to know if this is a frequent thing or if this is an isolated incident Look at these guys coming behind me I think those aren’t street legal last I checked ta- ta- ta- ta- ta See what these gentlemen are upto He’s going to replace a light bulb up there and then we still have our boy over here stopped right? Yes we do. hasn’t moved an inch since wow! You got this guy still changing a light bulb over here I think now is when it finally I think I see it moving So this crossing has still has mechanical bells all around which is an endangered species, because most crossings these days as we know are all E bells. which is an insult but thats just my opinion new fortress energy what that is whatever it is its flammable and we got the forklift on the street guy over here Those are also flammable, let me see if I could zoom in on the there you go, you see flammable ok so let me put the window down on my state of the art car over here so you can here the WC Hayes mechanical bells do their thing come on WC Alright guys, please subscribe or like thank you very much for viewing over and out track shot here bye bye

Abandoned Railroad FEC Industrial Spur Commerce Park Miami, Florida

    August 13, 2019

Hello ladies and gentlemen, another sad site over here in Miami, Florida. I’m a few miles away from the Miami International Airport and this is an abandoned FEC industrial spur. This one used to cross here and served some warehouses about a mile or so down. This would be North. and then Here you can still see the concrete ties That were used as sign posts. That said “FEC Railway Company private property no trespassing” You got 1 2 3 4 and there’s more on the other side. And then here you can see where the train used to load They would just pull up the railcars here. You can still see the rocks from the spur. That at one point came through here. Yeah guys, the rails were pulled. There’s no rails or ties anywhere to be seen on here. So you were just looking South, now you’re looking North again. And I’m going to see over there if I can see anything Oh look! Look what I found! Wow! I’m going to play the lottery today! Ha ha ha! So let me give you one last look at the piece of rail that’s still at the road here. Oh and I just saw some more evidence on the other side. That’s where the crossbucks used to be. What a shame. Alright guys Thank you for viewing. Please subscribe, like, or share and I’ll catch you next time. Bye bye.

    August 13, 2019

Hello ladies and gentlemen we have another unused railroad crossing here today in Southwest 200 Street This here as you can see this track isn’t in very good condition. It looks like a third-world country around here Right? This place is an agricultural area it’s all full of nursuries, fruits agriculture whatever have you? Those branches there are debris from Hurricane Irma So this here is a Southwest view of the track right. This is the CSX homestead subdivision which was built in 1927 and then here We have a safe tran signal base a safe tran gate mechanism safe tran lights all around, we got one hanging reco light there from Hurricane Irma And lets try to cross the line So this relay case as you can see has power. There’s a light up top And then further down the line you can see that it’s obstructed which makes no difference because it’s an unused line so See what we got on this side so Im going to include a Google maps link so you guys can see for yourself where im at This side it’s same same deal. We got a safe tran signal base safe tran gate mechanism Reco crossing lights the crossing gate We got safe tran Lights all around here too and an E dinger up top See the Emergency contact info here CSX S line homestead subdivision mile post 57.87 And then once again, that’s the South sorry North East view obstructed by the tree there wood SCL crossties and the Southwest view Which looks like a third world country Alright guys, Please subscribe or like Thank you very much for viewing Follow me on instagram at railrol82 over and out
