functioning and lights being on dogmas but they removed everything it’s a car
okay so I was gonna go here and show you yeah so this was one 1926 and here you can see the growth this time
officially became abandoned earlier this year and it is being consumed by mother
nature goes in 1926 by seaboard airline if sex is doing at all they said no mas and let’s see what this sign says no dumping that’s right I don’t lie to me
and then read a case can see where the wires were cut right there with the
lights used to be emergency contact info cross books today this is track due
north East sighs track view south west hey guys so that was this question right

I Broke The Spell on the Abandoned Railroad

    December 4, 2019

Hello ladies and gentlemen, RailROL82 here, your railroad archaeologist again today with our
continuing series on the CSX homestead subdivision which is now officially
abandoned I’m at Eureka Drive I’m gonna include a Google Maps link to this
location this this location as far as I know never had any honey gates so all
they did was fold up the lights and such you have an idea art they filled this
this track in 1926 there’s a date I know always on them sometimes the date is in
a minute an indication of when they put the track but in this instance I know
for a fact they’re built in 1926 and then this is 75 pound rail signify the
month in which it was built so you got one two three four five six seven eight
nine ten eleven twelve December 1926 so yeah this is track view south west and track view northeast you can see in
a lot of parts that grass is taking over so CSX officially abandon it they’re not
gonna come over here and maintain it anytime soon this is gonna be a jungle
and amount of time I’m gonna come back here and do more follow up videos on
this may be like in the year that’s if that copra crap doesn’t put an
end to the railroad ecology because that thing’s getting strict so yeah let me
wait cuz they’ve got some cars coming I’m gonna fucking so here I am across
the street got some concretizing it’s funny because
I I don’t know if they meant to put those in you never did draw twin types
and this looks like a third-world country over you got all sorts of jars
and grades debris along the track over here guru Rene Caisse yep well I just can’t believe it oh here you
go yeah yeah yeah check it out look at this
guy he is a mean little guy right I think I just broke that curse alrighty

the Flies yep very typical of man so this is track view north east mile
marker or multiples 56 reading case and now I’m gonna take you track

South West 137th Avenue and you can see these lights folded awkward they’re all
folded up with the gates have been removed I shot a car a film I shot a
video here after Hurricane Irma and you can see all the gates were broken on
that video and now they just completely removed them by the way here’s the
emergency contact info and the doctype see this is gonna be track view
Southwest you can see from the distance that the shrubs have overtaken the line see when they’re gonna break in the
traffic I’m gonna cross here yeah okay these bars are heading north and
then here you can see more lights folded over he’s got the yeah and then that’s attracted you north the first commandment crossing so this

Unused Railroad Crossing Activated 1st Time in Years

    August 22, 2019

Ladies and gentlemen this might be the
last time you guys might ever hear this Crossing activated this is obviously
a malfunction. I don’t know if it was caused by Hurricane Irma but
yeah this crossing here is unused right it’s the CSX S line Homestead
subdivision milepost 60.67 got a safe tran systems signal base it’s an ungated
gated crossing but you can see that the lights are going off now obviously uh
there hasn’t been a train here for years this is track view Southwest as you
can see over there there’s our shrubs covering the tracks this is track view north-east You can hear that E dinger Then you got the relay case there. safe tran signal base as well I’ve never
heard this crossing activated before so my first time and this will probably be
the last time cuz as I said CSX hasn’t sent a train here in years nor do they
have any plans to there’s actually been talks of them trying to sell this line
or do something with it but yeah as you can see this this rail here is from 1926
was which was when the line was originally built 1925 no no 1926 it was that’s the year was built in 1926
to promote tourism to homestead which is just about maybe 10 15 miles down that
way see what else can I tell you about the
line yeah it was originally built for for passenger trains that was
discontinued in about sixties or seventies then it was
Freight This is an agricultural area here so there’s no industry other than
strawberries and avocados and as you can see there’s a nursery there this is what
it’s what it mostly is the nurseries and mangos avocados limes fruits vegetables
things of that nature let me give you one last shot as I said
this is not gonna be, you’re not you’re probably not ever going
to see us again so this will be the way we sign off on this video a tribute to
this crossing this is Southwest two hundred and thirty second street alrighty

like 99 degrees you know how that Miami weather is. Okay let’s see if these there
you go right down came up then came down? Yep, yet again. There you go! Come back down now. It was too good to last! gate runner right there If it keeps like this, somebody’s going to break it. like we saw that time remember over
there in 20th Street? Yeah another ghost train coming through here This is incredible. This happens here it seems like
everyday. I have three three cases of this happening already oh yeah three
this is the fourth on the same line maintained by the SFRTA look at that. Wow! truly amazing North West 71st Street and
they go back up and let’s see how long it is until they come back down again They’re behaving themselves! Wow, it appears the malfunction might
be over. Give it a few more. the other guys stopping on the tracks
right there yeah Yeah I think this one’s over guys so

    August 13, 2019

Hello ladies and gentlemen we have another unused railroad crossing here today in Southwest 200 Street This here as you can see this track isn’t in very good condition. It looks like a third-world country around here Right? This place is an agricultural area it’s all full of nursuries, fruits agriculture whatever have you? Those branches there are debris from Hurricane Irma So this here is a Southwest view of the track right. This is the CSX homestead subdivision which was built in 1927 and then here We have a safe tran signal base a safe tran gate mechanism safe tran lights all around, we got one hanging reco light there from Hurricane Irma And lets try to cross the line So this relay case as you can see has power. There’s a light up top And then further down the line you can see that it’s obstructed which makes no difference because it’s an unused line so See what we got on this side so Im going to include a Google maps link so you guys can see for yourself where im at This side it’s same same deal. We got a safe tran signal base safe tran gate mechanism Reco crossing lights the crossing gate We got safe tran Lights all around here too and an E dinger up top See the Emergency contact info here CSX S line homestead subdivision mile post 57.87 And then once again, that’s the South sorry North East view obstructed by the tree there wood SCL crossties and the Southwest view Which looks like a third world country Alright guys, Please subscribe or like Thank you very much for viewing Follow me on instagram at railrol82 over and out

    Blocked Railroad Hurricane Irma

    August 13, 2019

Hello ladies and gentlemen, I’m here in
Homestead Florida just north of the 296 street crossing here we can see that the
city of Homestead is trying to clean up the debris left by a hurricane Irma, in
its wake and we see that this portion of the unused CSX
track has some trees on it some down branches even some entire trees this is
mile post 65 there’s the relay case milepost 65
Southwest 296 ST, I’ll include Google links Google Maps link then you
can see the posture here you can see the tree right there either way it makes no difference
because like I said there’s no trains there hasn’t been a train here for years
and there’s there isn’t gonna be a train So this is facing North and this is facing South and this track
was in case you don’t know guys it was built by the SAL in 1927 to promote
tourism to Homestead. You can see the original wooden cross ties and the
rusted rails when that would be a nice house to have
right and then I’m looking here in the meter see
I don’t think the meter has any… here comes the power truck so yeah the meter does, well it would
have had power to it had there been electricity here as you can see in the
distance you’re working to restore power in this area so yeah guys I’m
gonna leave you with a shot of this the crossing. Please Subscribe or Like. thank you for viewing. over and out guys
