Hey guys it is about 4:30 Tuesday morning and we’re at the KL Central train station here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are waiting for the train is should leave here
in about five minutes or so. And we’re gonna head down towards Singapore. It should be about a 7-8 hour ride from
here and then we’ll have to transfer to another train or bus to actually cross
over into Singapore. And so that’s what we’re doing. These are the folks here waiting for the train also behind us. We are gong to go down the escalator and get on the train. Alright here we are. Here is our train, Wow. It doesn’t look as new as the other trains that we’ve been on here in Malaysia. L3?… L7 Here we are L7. Oh, ours are different. Wow! This is the discount car maybe. Alright guys this is the car that we’re gonna be in here for the next, Jules saya 6-7 hours. Somewhere around there, six to eight hours. It looks like this. And I think we’re going to be riding backwards in their seats, maybe. I’m not sure. Check this car out up here. This is the sleeper car. On the way tho stop and take a look at
the restroom. It looks like that. This is the sleeper car. There is the seatbelt so they don’t roll out. Alright guys, we’ve been on
the train now for about two to two and a half hours. This is what we’ve got here. Jules is awake now. She was taking a nap
earlier. Sarah is still sleeping. Seth has not slept yet.
He has just been playing on his iPad the whole time. Veron is up now again. This is what it looks like outside. A lot of palm oil plantations, right now. Palm oil is different than the coconut
oil. Palm oil comes from a cluster of fruit that are kind of like a little tiny
coconuts. Then it’s processed for cooking oil and also for the basis of
different types of soap. One that we would probably be familiar with is Palmolive.
Palm oil became a highly sought-after commodity in the 1800’s when the British
were using it as a machine lubricant during in the English Industrial
Revolution. Indonesia and Malaysia are the world’s largest palm oil producers. Here we go. We’ve found an open door.
Let’s check it out. Wow! Look at all the Palm trees. A couple hours more down the road and the boredom has set in. So, we’re gonna go for a walk and see
what we can find. Seth is going to stay behind and watch the gear. Good job, buddy. We heard some people say, “Let’s go eat.”
Then walked up here. Wow, look at this place. It is beautiful. It even smells good in here. Why didn’t we get these ones, Veron?
I don’t know. Look and windows are clean
and it’s and it’s bright and there’s lights. Wow!
Go ahead Marty. Me first? Okay. They’re scared of this thing here. Wow, that feels weird. We made it again. This is high technology. Wow, look at that. That was weird. There is a little cafe in here. You have some juice, some coffee and some sandwiches and things. Cool little eating area. Okay, Lets keep going up here. Then we will come back and see it they have coffee. Another open door. Wow, here we go. The squatty potty bathroom. This must be business class or first class or something because the chairs are a lot larger. Another open door. I think it would hurt extremely bad to get your toes caught in there. Wow. That is a cool one. Another open door. Let’s take a look out there. End of the line? Yes. This is the end, right here. I imagine that they don’t want us going our there. What do you guys think? Should we go out there? I’m just joking. We are not going to go out there. Alright, so we ordered our coffee from this guy right here and maybe he is bringing it now. Thank you. It is freezing on the train. Right Jules? How much is it? It’s 12.50. We just stopped here in the middle of nowhere. But these people hight here just got off the train. It is surprisingly cool. It is really humid cloudy and cool. But we are only at about 200 feet elevation. We are coming into a small town right now I think.
At least that is what it shows on the map. Maybe we will get some views of some houses or something here. It kinda looks like we are coming up to a train stop. Here is a small train station, Paloh. Let’s see if we can get someone to wave here. Alright guys, we are at the first stop on this journey. and we gotta change trains here to the Jombor – Singapore shuttle train, I think. Where are we again? We are at Johor Bahru. Johor Bahru, that’s it. The Johor Bahru Singapore
shuttle train because we are still in Malaysia. So we gotta find that another train now. Cool, thank you.
And where do we go upstairs? Okay, thank you. I meant where do we go upstairs? As in, when we
get upstairs then where do we go? Oh well. I’m sure we will figure it out. Everybody is laughing at me. Okey, Thank you. ha, ha ha. Anyway the jest of what she said was, there two options one option is the train but it doesn’t leave until four. What time is it now? Anybody know?
But it is only 12 o’clock right now. So we’ll have to wait for hours for the
train. The other option is the bus. So she recommends we take the bus. So this is the train station here. It looks a lot like an airport. iPods, iPhones, iWatches, iDonuts We are trying to get to Singapore by bus. Can you tell me how to get the tickets? Where do I buy the tickets? Okay so what she said was, that there is a bus like every 15 to 20 minutes or so. The ride isn’t very long, I think maybe half hour. But the long part could
be immigrations and customs and that can be very quick or it can take up to an
hour or so to get through depending on the traffic. And so we’re gonna go get
some lunch here real quick because it may be a while before we get to eat
again. Alright so, we’re going eat at KFC today. And they’ve got some different stuff here
than what we have in Indonesia. They have cole slaw, mashed potatoes and they also have this zinger thing, right here, Cheesy Zinger, it all sounds good. This is called the potato something zinger it’s got mashed potatoes with cheese, mayonnaise, corn, and chicken. It looks like it has mayonnaise in it, some kind of dressing. And then this is a chicken wrap. And then of course fries and a drink. Veron is using chili sauce to go with her fries because she is from Indonesia. Alright so to get to Singapore you have to go across that bridge across that bridge right there behind me. Out of the main terminal area into this section where we can get on a bus somewhere. Alright so just as soon as police officer and he said follow all these people they’re all going to Singapore. Go down so your passport then go straight down to where the buses are. Just went through immigration stamped
the passports saying we’re leaving the country. Alright so, they found the right bus and now we just wait in line here
with all these other people like Veron and the rest that are way back there. Then we get on this bus. We made it on the bus.
Yes but where are we going? We don’t know. We are going to Singapore somewhere. Pak Martin, No Camera. Oh still? Alright guys, we made it out of immigrations and
customs. I couldn’t film anything in there through the whole building not supposed to film or use a camera at all. So we didn’t get the film anything. We had to walk across the
street and into the shopping center here to find an ATM machine so we could pay for transportation from the checkpoint into the city where we need to go. So, we think we’re going to try to find a taxi cause that is just going to be the simplest way to get there. They sound so excited. I’m excited.
I think they sound so tired. It was a lot of walking. But now we should be dropped off
right at the doorstep. Alright guys we’ve made it here to the Four Seas College Bible and Missions. And we’ve just been hanging out here with
some of the students kinda rest up a little bit. Sarah and Veron are playing Scrabble with one of the students. Anyway we’re just hanging out and resting. Later on we’re gonna go eat dinner and try to get a SIM card for my phone to use here, so I can get back on
the internet. Otherwise there will be no videos. So, I have to do that today. It is
