Great video of train action in the Dunkirk and Sheridan, New York area. That Thermite Welding of the train tracks was interesting. Did you go back after the welding crew finished to see what the finished weld looked like? Did they just do the two welds that you videoed or did they have additional welds to make? You caught the Lake Shore Limited at the CSX Harrington Road crossing. I saw a CSX welding crew at work at Doltan Crossing in Dalton, Illinois a long time ago. I do not remember whether they used the Thermiote Welding method or the torch and rod welding system. And I don't remember if I saw them finish the project and what they might have done to smooth out the weld so that any weld flash would not interfere with the movement of the wheels on the rails.

Welded rails are good for them, but there's no clickty- clack for us.

Iโ€™ve never seen anything like that but I guess thereโ€™s always a first time. Thanks again for all of your wonderful work. Got a question for you, did they just put in that track, or is it like a re-weld? Bye ๐Ÿ‘‹ for now my friend.

You should not narrate about things that you know very little or nothing about. You make too many unnecessary comments, also.
