August 11, 2019

Hello ladies and gentlemen, I’m over here underneath Highway 874 At the SW 87th AVE crossing in Miami Florida. I’m going to show you guys a very old SCL railroad crossing here. Okay, there we can see the cantilever very old style and then in the middle we can see, in the median crossing you got the crossing gate separate from the lights and cross buck with the pinnacle up top. First, I’m going to show you this one over here. And this is going to be a on the CSX S Line mile post 46.67 we have a Harmon signal base. These lights, I believe are going to be Safe Tran. Yeah, Safe Tran lights. Safe Tran light bracket and the cantilever up top. And here we have a WRRS signal base. That’s pretty old. An old WC Hayes mechanical bell. This is a yeah, WRRS gate mechanism also. And then this is what I really want to show you guys. Now I’m going East. And then here we got the crossing gate separate from the lights and cross buck. These are also Safe Tran. The signal base will be Safe Tran as well. Oh US&S actually! Oh wow! Alright. And a WRRS gate mechanism. WRRS signal base. WRRS mechanical bell, nice This is track view SW Track view NE On this side you got the old WRRS signal base as well. WRRS gate mechanism WRRS mechanical bell. US&S Signal base and Safe Tran lights. Oh look we got the really case over there. I actually got a train a few weeks ago at this crossing. I’ll include a link to it so you guys could see it. And now I’m going to show you guys the cantilever for the North bound. Okay I think I can make a run for it after this guy. yeah Yeah, Harmon Industries signal base S line Homestead Subdivision Mile post 46.67 And let me give you a look at the cantilever on this side. See it shows you instead of having 2 lights it has a sign here that says clearance 17 6 I don’t know if you guys can make it out; back light is kind of bad on that angle. And then yeah, Safe Tran lights WRRS gate mechanism WRRS signal base WRRS mechanical bell And look! We even got a fiberglass crossing gate. You don’t see many of those. Now they’re all aluminum. See the fibers on it. And let me leave you guys with the track view here. So again, track view NE and track view SW Please Subscribe or Like! Thank you for viewing! Over and out.

Great review of this crossing, I feel you have a video of the CSX going to the quarry at this point before. Let me know if I'm right or wrong. Thank you for the video and I look forward to hearing from you.

Very interesting catch on the the gate mechanisms they had the GRS & the WRRS logo on them! Shows how just as the railroads merged, so did the supply companies. Now all of that is Western Cullen WCH. β™£οΈπŸ’šβ™¦οΈβ™ οΈ.

Should have taken a look at those locks to see if they said SCL on them or CSX. I have a lock similar to those, found it on an abandoned and isolated Southern Pacific Branch. SPT co. Signal Dept. on the back. It was unlocked when I found it, I accidentally locked it later on. Oppps!

That's kind of dangerous puting a crossing on the highway because if someone is going fast and the gates are down the person is going to it hit

I'm going to build a fictional metro light rail line with this exact layout in Metro Simulator Beta except it'll be double tracked.
