this is probably the best video on this channel yet

  • Reply iskandartaib June 21, 2019 at 8:54 am

Those corned beef cans with the keys are actually still quite common. But most I've seen are about twice the size of that one, and they usually come from Brazil or Argentina. And this sort of can's been around since the 19th century – soldiers were eating corned beef from cans like this in the trenches in WW1.

  • Reply Introvert Owless June 21, 2019 at 8:58 am

I have never seen Satoshi so Happy,he was like a kid in a candy store , ❤️❤️❤️

  • Reply LordDiamonds June 21, 2019 at 1:19 pm

Wow looks like a fun place to hang out. I never knew corn was such a big thing in Japan, I guess here in the U.S. kind of take it for granted, just used as a side dish, curious have you guys ever tried creamed corn? it doesn't look appetizing but its tasty. Also that snap you got from the sausages means they were most likely natural casings which I wont eat any sausages that don't have those, just makes them taste so much better. Great video guys im really enjoying going through your archives and learning about life there, always wanted to go to Japan, so thanks for all these vids its like taking a tour with you guys 🙂

  • Reply James Laforme June 21, 2019 at 1:42 pm

Wow, it's really just so nice and heartwarming to see Satoshi so genuinely excited and almost giddy like a kid in a candy store. You can really tell how important and meaningful the subject is to him. The memory he shared with us was really something special and I feel honored he shared it with us in the video!

I really loved this video hands down one of my favorites of yours. I just really love when you go out on little adventures and show us unique experiences like this! Keep up the great work!

When I was a kid my mom would crumble canned corned beef and mix it with fried potatoes and onions. It was one of my favorite dinners growing up.

  • Reply biggerdaddy123 June 21, 2019 at 5:14 pm

    Great content as always!
Highly unlikely, If I am ever in Japan, I would be delighted to have you as guides!
Have you ever thought of doing sth in the hospitality business on the side ?
Even just as being paid to show Japan and its culture to travellers ?
In addition, food is very important and you own this section, plus you have experience from different cultures.

Awesome place! I loved hearing your train stories! The food looked so nice and reminded me of growing up eating tinned foods, especially the Vienna in a tin and the smoked oysters which we would have on crackers. So yummy.

  • Reply Eludiastar June 23, 2019 at 10:19 pm

I love trains too! I find them such a relaxing way to travel in the UK ❤

And oh my goodness I looooove smoked oysters, I have them at Christmas with garlic cream cheese on wheat crackers!

Also corned beef hash is a popular meal in the UK too.

First a visit to this adorable bar and then more local train travel – I always use the train when I can but I see there is so much more I can do!

Canned corn? Yammy? Really? I won't ever understand Japan 🙂

  • Reply Ken Myrheim June 29, 2019 at 3:54 pm

The special way of opening the can at 7:25 is something I've seen in Norway. I opened a few cans like that when I was a kid. Don't know if they're still sold, I'll have to check next time I do my shopping.

This whole video was very, very lovely! The train memories — especially Satoshi's — were a very nice touch. <3
