August 23, 2019

we’re headed eastbound on Northwest 12th
ST right near the Turnpike by dolphin mall. this here is the Lehigh spur and I just
saw the spur job from a distance when we were at the last crossing, there you go I see headlights right there try to get over here you go
now those are empty rockhoppers he’s gonna go load some in the rock quarry
come back and then take them up north – is a very dense bush area
but you can kind of still see once in a while in the bushes, there’s a grade
crossing coming up here and hopefully we’ll be able to catch him. Ah! He already passed. I just saw the crossing gates go up. my girlfriend is doing me the favor of
driving and this would then crossing and there he is going West. You got a make a
a u-turn, this is Florida Highway Patrol. please subscribe, like, or share, thank you for
viewing guys.

Good catch! I'm a big fan of EMD's Geeps, but I know that lone GP-40 won't be pulling loaded hoppers back! And does your girlfriend roll her eyes like my wife does when I see a train and scream like a girl?!?!

Nice catch! Train Chaser at work. Nice vid. As always, thanks for the view. 🙂 We chased one for 15 miles yesterday. We finally got ahead of it and set-up. Train came by, waves and toots. When the rascal passed I looked down and all zeros. It didn't record. 🙁 Had to take the battery out to shut it down. Turned out upon inspection that the SD Card was**** up! pppppppppp Thanks! 🙂

I saw a train where I live in south Louisiana on a line that is hardly used anymore a few years ago. It was used a lot more when I was a boy to service rice mills and other business along the line. It originated from a main line in my hometown and I saw the train out in the country going really slow because the tracks are not well maintained. I got lucky that day. It services one rice mill in a town about 20 miles away from my hometown. It ends at bayou where the rice mill is located. You can still see the iron base that once held the rotating train bridge in the bayou before they took the track up beyond the bayou. It once went about 80-100 miles before rejoining the main line.
