THE MEASLES STORY ON KTSM.COM. THEY HOPE TO SHAPE THE POPULAR ATTRACTION’S FUTURE: THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT ARE PERFORMING A STUDY ON THE WYLER AERIAL TRAMWAY THAT WAS CLOSED LAST SEPTEMBER AND NOW THEY WANT TO HEAR FROM THE COMMUNITY ABOUT IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO DO MOVING FORWARD. THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT ARE PERFORMING A STUDY ON THE WYLER AERIAL TRAMWAY THAT WAS CLOSED LAST SEPTEMBER AND NOW THEY WANT TO HEAR FROM THE COMMUNITY ABOUT IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO DO MOVING FORWARD. THE TRAMWAY IS THE ONLY OF ITS KIND IN TEXAS AT 60 YEARS OLD. BUT ACCORDING TO THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT ALONG WITH THE EL PASO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION WANT TO HEAR FROM THE COMMUNITY ABOUT THEIR IDEAS FOR THE TRAMWAY MOVING FORWARD. HOWEVER THE TRAMWAY MAY BE BEYOND REPAIR.”Texas parks and wildlife is doing a one that one it’s just outlived its useful life.” THE TRAMWAY WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED TO PROVIDE MAINTENANCE ACCESS FOR KTSM’S TELEVISION TRANSMISSION TOWERS IN THE FRANKLIN MOUNTAINS AND WAS DONATED TO THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT IN 1997.
