Airport Rail Link Bangkok (Co van Kessel Guide)

October 13, 2019

Bangkok can feel a bit chaotic and overwhelming
when you just arrive at the Airport. But that is why i am here today. To show you the best way to get in to the city from the airport. I’m Nina and I work for Co van Kessel Bangkok tours We are the original bicycle tour in Bangkok. And we have been operating for over 30 years now. And that’s why we would like to share our insights with you There are several ways to get into the city from the airport There are taxi’s, mini vans, busses and then there is the Airport Rail link. So what should you choose? That is totally up to you, but we
recommend you to use the Airport Rail Link. Because it is faster, it is cheaper and
eco friendly. When you travel with 3 or more people. Sharing the cost of a taxi is cheaper than
everyone buying a ticket for the Airport Rail Link. So a taxi is a good option, unless you are
travelling during rush hour, which we strongly advise against. So let’s go to the Airport Rail Link As you can see the airport rail link is located on basement floor so you just need to follow the signs, lets go And if you have a question, you can ask them at the information desk You can be your ticket a the ticket vending machine or at the kiosk First press English Then your destination And now how many persons Get here your tokens. Here is your exchange and we are ready to go. Hold on to your ticket because you will need this to get out. The airport rail link connects with the MRT
at Makkasan, here you can interchange with the subway. And at Phaya Thai where you interchange with the bts Skytrain. With this too, you can travel trough Bangkok further. But the ticket from the airport rail link is not valid for the BTS and the MRT So you need to buy another one We hope you found this video useful and that you learned something new about Bangkok If you are going to use the airport rail link, there’s a big chance you will also use the BTS or the MRT And what a coincidence we also made video’s about them For the BTS video, click here! For the MRT video, click here! If you’re looking for an authentic and unique adventure, go book a tour at The link is in the description Don’t forget to subscribe and we will see you in the next video

Well explained as usual, though perhaps the camera could have zoomed in more to the ticket machine screen. I'm now in Thailand ….. Chiang Mai. 🙂

Please do you know when you reach the end of the Airport Link in BKK, is it easy to get to the ground level with luggage to get a taxi or do you have to carry your bags down many stairs?? A lift of escalator would be ideal. Thank you so much

The last one I met there was a british guy waiting for 16 hours in the airport in the fear of getting lost, he was obviously not he brightest candle on the cake, but really ? And BKK is easy to navigate, try it in a smaller chinese city with no map and no one speaking english ;-). There are people who don't find their own asses without someone showing them. Thanks for the video, no harm done to BKK, it is already full of dumbos, I never stay longer than 24h there.

It's not convenient if you have big luggage. With rucksack would be OK.

Thank you very much for this video. One big concern of mine remains unanswered though. Once arrived at the station, how to get down to the street level with big/heavy luggage?? To i have to use the stairs..or is there an escalator??? And if i want to move to the BTS..same question..can it be done with a bit heavy luggage? My destination would be the river station of the BTS in order to take a boat to the millennium hilton. Thank you very much in advance!
